"If God does not exist, everything is permissible," he is not saying: "If my superego, in projected form, can be abolished, I can do anything with a good conscience." He is saying: "If there is only my conscience, then there is no ultimate validity for my will."

we lost touch with ourselves, or our inner life;

and worse, we prosecute those who open up to experiences, and condemn all things exterior to this material, "observable" world. that's what rd laing is trying to put across.

and then i read haung one bean's recent piece, i am speechless, i can never write in such a eloborate and gentle way on these things, i am so full of anger and spite against the whole cult of scientism

leung,

this shithole we live in is a frame of equilibrum. everywhere is a lie of balance, and most of us buy it. hold strong to your anger and be the master of it. you and i have much to burn, hang tight.
